About us

SilenceNet is an MBO company from Panasonic located in Yokohama, Japan. We operate Auto-ID Products import, distribution and support in the Japanese market.

We took over Auto-ID business from Panasonic in January 2003. After that, we expanded the business into RFID, RTLS and Testing Systems afterward. Our mission is to provide the best solutions as well as services in Auto-ID market place and to supply an appropriate product for a respective customer.

Through the years, SilenceNet activities are dedicated to solving business challenges based on a thorough understanding of respective customer’s complex requirements and the ambitious goals. Our major customers are world leading manufacturing corporations such as Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Canon, Panasonic, NEC, Hitachi, Sony, Fujitsu, IBM, Teijin, IHI, Kubota and so on. Management Team

Ted Chida, President and CEO:
Ted Chida joined SilenceNet as COO in March 2002 and brings over 30 years international business experiences. He is responsible for directing daily operations and building the company into a leading provider of Auto-ID industry. He is driving SilenceNet business strategy and leading the organization to overall success, long term profitability and growth. Prior to SilenceNet, he had a distinguished career at Panasonic that began in 1971. His role at Panasonic was international business development of electronic instrument, information equipment as well as scientific and information processing software. From 1995 to 1998, he transferred from Panasonic to Japanese Government as a Senior Trade Advisor in United States at JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization).
From 1969 to 1971, he served as a research engineer for speech communication at The Research Institute of Electrical Communication of Tohoku University.

Minoru Ashizawa, Director, Chief Engineer
Mr. Ashizawa brings to SilenceNet more than 20 years experience of Auto-ID technology and engineering. Prior to joining SilenceNet in 2003, he served at Panasonic as Manager of Engineering at Information Processing Equipment Division. Through the years, he had many responsibilities including engineering management, software support, quality assurance as well as environmental management.

Morihiko Nakamura, Director, Marketing and Sales
Mr. Nakamura brings SilenceNet his more than 20 years sales experience in Auto-ID industry. He specializes in developing and executing annual business plan and corporate development program. As the result, SilenceNet has not ever recorded any annual operation loss since the corporate establishment. Prior to joining SilenceNet in 2003, he served at Panasonic as Sales Manager for Auto-ID business where he managed Auto-ID business operation and development.
